Gills Flowers was formally started by Gill Homer in April 2004. It is a family run business with Gill's husband, Albert involved in deliveries and taking orders for flowers.
Gill's grandfather, William Homer started off the family tradition in floristry by making and selling traditional holly wreaths on the footpath in front of 86 Rose Green Road, from where Gill runs her business today. Her formal education in flower arranging was at Chichester College and Brinsbury College, Pulborough, where she was awarded certificates for her achievements.
Flair and talent is what it is all about, as many customers and friends can glowingly attest. With many years working locally in the area, Gill has successfully and skillfully achieved the highest respect for both her traditional and modern floral designs and her high standards show in all her floristry work. She has won many awards over the years for her exhibits in Sussex and National flower competitions held by NAFAS and was awarded silver-gilt medals by the Royal Horticultural Society in 2016 and 2017 for her floral arrangements at the Chelsea Flower Show.
Gill has a great love for Rose Green and has lived at her current address in Rose Green Road all her life.
In her own words, "I wouldn't live or work anywhere else - I love this area!"
Best Regards from Albert & Gill
